Case 1 - Nielson

Physician: Dr. Nielson
Patient: Megan
Gender: Female
Age: 15

What is the activity level of your daughter (meaning what type of
sports does she partake in)?

Megan is a very active teenager who just completed her freshman year of High School. She has her varsity letter in several sports including Cross Country, Track and Basketball. She is also a snow and water skiier, and a certified scuba diver. We also camp and hike as a family, in addition to her past activities in league soccer and gymnastics.

Megan had a torn labrum around the hip, and Dr. Nielson performed a hip arthroscopy surgery to smooth it. Our experience with Dr. Nielson and Children's Bone & Spine was very professional. He took the time to explain things in a way that we would understand and was very good in understanding a teenagers concerns. I would recommend him to any of our family and friends. The surgery went so well, and I have a high level of respect for his skils. Also, he is an athelete himself, so Dr. Nielson has a vast knowledge and we found it easy to ask questions of him.

"I like to run again! It is great to run pain free. The recuperation and time in Physical Therapy wasn't all that fun, but to be able to run again is worth it!" - Megan
